Description
Born in Northern California and raised in Maryland, Dr. Zima Pakzad’s pediatrician helped guide her desire to be a physician and has acted as a mentor during her career. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, for her undergraduate studies and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University in Grenada. Dr. Pakzad completed a family medicine residency with Kaiser Permanente Foundation Hospital. After her residency, Dr. Pakzad returned to school and graduated with a master’s in Business Administration from Eastern New Mexico University. Thrilled to join the Intermountain Health team; Dr. Pakzad believes in our mission of providing high-quality care that is accessible and affordable to all. Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Pakzad has worked in various settings, including fast-paced ERs, rural medicine, and the busiest hospitals in NYC. Trilingual in English, Spanish, and Farsi, Dr. Pakzad donates her volunteering at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
