Nida Bonuel, MD, is originally from the Philippines, where she was inspired by her late father to pursue a career in medicine. That early encouragement fueled her lifelong dedication to caring for others and turning her dream of becoming a physician into reality. Dr. Bonuel is an internal medicine physician who provides comprehensive care to adult patients from all walks of life. Known for her attentive and compassionate approach, she takes the time to listen carefully to her patients' concerns, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and well cared for. Her warm bedside manner and commitment to personalized care are at the heart of her practice. In addition to her medical career, Dr. Bonuel proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, where she earned the rank of Sergeant—an experience that strengthened her discipline, resilience, and sense of service. She completed both her undergraduate and medical degrees at Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines. Following this, she pursued a post-graduate internship at Maolos Provincial Hospital and rural training at the Malacañang Clinic. Dr. Bonuel later completed her internal medicine residency at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Outside of medicine, Dr. Bonuel finds joy in music and quality time with her family—often blending the two. A talented pianist and guitarist, she shares her love of music with her husband and three children, who play the piano, violin, and saxophone, making theirs a uniquely musical household.
